AVANT GARDE NORTHERN LANDSCAPES + EXPRESSIONISTIC IMPULSIVE ABSTRACTION (it’s form is describing something…) = PAINTING 2016; free, liberated from past conventions, unattached to style (“STYLE BEING CONTENT AND HAVING NO CONTENT” ALEX KATZ); when stripped bare to reveal the most basic form- intuitive processes appear incredibly complex; the enlightening and rapid action of painting (which actually occurs as a result of holistic observational, absorption and processing work, consciously and subconsciously 24 hours daily,) warrants crystalised, mysterious, multi-layered realms which inspire the most direct emotions.
